We have three double rooms and one family room. All are
recently refurbished and en suite.
Our rooms are well equipped, including:
- TV
- wireless internet
- hairdryer
- tea, coffee and biscuits.
As well as breakfast, we offer good home-cooked lunches
and evening meals. If you want to take a packed lunch
out with you, we’ll make that for you too.
Our guests
Our guests come from all over the world. We’ve
enjoyed the company of people from New Zealand, Australia,
the US and Canada, as well as countries all over Europe.
Of course, we have English, Irish, Scots and Welsh visitors
too. And who could forget the French and Welsh parties
en route to the Six Nations rugby in Cardiff or Paris!
Going somewhere?
If you’re attending a wedding or a function locally,
the Wheatsheaf is an ideal place to stay. We’re
within walking distance of Wilton House, the Michael Herbert
Hall and Land HQ.
If you’re on the way to the ferry at Poole, Weymouth
or Portsmouth, this is a good spot to break your journey
– to stay overnight or enjoy some lunch.
We’re also ideally placed if you’re going
to a special event and need somewhere handy to stay. Many
events take place locally, for example:
- the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra concert
with fireworks, at Wilton House
- the Larmer Tree Festival
- the Glastonbury Festival.
