How to find us

The Wheatsheaf, Wilton is three miles west of Salisbury on the A36. We’re in the ideal spot for you to break your journey, if you’re travelling to or from Bath or the West Country.

If you’re local, we’re about five minutes’ walk from the Wilton Park and Ride, where you can park and catch the bus (number 502) into Salisbury.

The nearest railway station is in Salisbury. Wilton is 5-10 minutes from the station by taxi.

By car

From Salisbury:

  • Leave Salisbury on the A36, heading towards Bath.
  • Stay on the A36 into Wilton, and cross the roundabout to stay on the A36 (second exit).
  • Pass Wilton Shopping Village, then take the next left into our car park.

From Bath:

  • Leave Bath on the A36, heading towards Warminster and Salisbury.
  • When you come to Wilton, you’ll go under a railway bridge. A short distance later, as you come round a left-hand bend, you’ll see the Wheatsheaf.
  • Take the next right, just past the Wheatsheaf, into our car park.

From the A303, heading west:

  • At Wylye, take the A36 towards Wilton and Salisbury
  • Continue as if approaching from Bath.

From the A303, heading east:

  • At Stonehenge, take the A360 towards Wilton and Salisbury.
  • Turn right at the signpost to Wilton and Land HQ.
  • Continue on this road until you come to the A36.
  • Turn right at the roundabout on to the A36.
  • Pass the Wilton Shopping Village, then take the first left into our car park.

From Shaftesbury:

  • Take the A30 towards Wilton.
  • At the Market Square traffic lights in Wilton, turn left into North Street
  • At the end of North Street, turn right on to the A36.
  • Take the first right into our car park.

From Blandford Forum:

  • Take the A354 to Salisbury.
  • Turn left at the Harnham traffic lights on to the A3094 (follow the sign for Livestock Market).
  • Continue on the A3094 until you reach the A36.
  • Turn left at the traffic lights on to the A36, and continue as if approaching from Salisbury.

From Poole, Bournemouth, Christchurch, Ringwood and Fordingbridge:

  • Take the A338 to Salisbury.
  • Turn left at the Harnham traffic lights, then continue as if approaching from Blandford Forum.
